What are some ways you could tell your crush you like him if you are too scared?

I am having the same problem with a senior who I have had a crush on for 3 YEARS! Only when I got into high school the crush got a lot bigger. I can't stop thinking about him and I don't even know if he has a girlfriend either. If yours sounds easier than my situation, then I say just tell him how you feel and say "You can make fun of me, laugh, or whatever, but at least its off my chest." Then let silence overwhelm him, lol!
And if he is too stupid to realize that something as great as you isn't good enough for him, then its his lose. Gosh, sometimes I think I should take my own advice, but I don't know if it would work, lol.
