What are standard step dimensions?

Answer:
A maximum riser height of 7 3/4 inches and a minimum tread run of no less than 10 inches. Note that Run is measured from the nose of one step to the next and does not include any overlap (the area under the nose of the step).
The height of all steps has to match with in 3/8".
Steps must be at least 3 ft wide. (hand rail my extend into that by no more than 4 1/2"
