I can get the ball rolling with four:

  1. droplets of pathogens as a result of coughing or sneezing can be inhaled and cause infections once inside our lungs,
  2. sexual contact can transfer pathogens from one person to another,
  3. if you have a cut or a break in your skin, microbes can gain direct access to your bloodstream,
  4. by consuming contaminated food and drink.

.

I can add... Airborne transmission, bloodborne transmission, foodborne transmission, transmission by touching, transmission during pregnancy or birth, and vector-borne transmission.

Some of the way pathogens are spread is through person to person where a person with a pathogen spreads it to another through touching, hugging, kissing, etc. Another way pathogens are spread through the air as some pathogens can float in the air for sometimes an hour. These are some of the ways that pathogens can be spread but there are others that I can't remember and hopefully someone with more knowledge on the subject answers this more completely
