There are 2 screws marked L and H. On newer Poulan saws the screws have a spline head that can't be turned without a special tool. You will need to purchase this special tool to make the adjustments.
Screw both L and H down til they seat and back out 1 1/2 turns. The saw should start in this position.
With throttle at full, turn high screw in until engine runs smooth.
**IMPORTANT***
Run the saw at high speed for 3-5 minutes so that it is fully warmed up. Adjusting the saw while cold may result in an overly lean mixture which will drastically shorten engine life!
With throttle still at full and engine warm, turn high screw in/out until engine runs smooth.
Adjust low speed at idle . If engine bogs when advancing throttle, turn low idle out as needed to eliminate bog.
Run at full throttle and verify the high speed setting. Back out the H screw about 1/8 turn to make sure the mixture is slightly rich.
Start with 1 1/4" turn out on each of the H and L adjustment screws.

To purchase Poulan chainsaw parts you can go to Sears Parts Direct, Poulan Pro Spare Parts, Repair Clinic, Jack's Replacement Parts, eBay and Order Tree.
Poulan made them for the dayton electric company.
Unless you are a authorized service mechanic for the Poulan company, you will not be able to do your carburetor adjustment, because the carburetors are being manufactured with a cap on the adjuster screws and there is a special tool needed to do the adjustment, and only a ASM will have this tool . Although i have seen them being sold on other sites. but the reason for the manufacturing of the carburetor this way is from the EPA not wanting a Joe Sschmo adjusting it too high or too low and letting the harmful emissions effect the air.
Poulan Pro Chainsaws are built in Ameeica, more specifically, the state of Georgia

Since Poulan is still making chainsaws, there is no way to answer your question. If you contact Poulan Customer Service through their website, with the SERIAL NUMBER of your saw, they may be able to tell you.
