Archeaological surveys often use a mix of these things, perhaps a Geophysicist or a landscape surveyor/archaeologist.
geology
Physical and historical geology. Meteorology is weather science.
Geology is the study of the Earth's physical structure and composition. Pure geology mainly deals with geological theories and principles, while applied geology deals with the practical application of geological knowledge.
The term hydro-geology is derived from two words; hydro, which means water and geology, which means the study of earth. Hydro-geology is the field of geology which is concerned with the distribution and movement of groundwater in the soil and rocks of the earths crust.
Geology Today was created in 1985.

Geology is a major within itself. However, it is your choice as to what you prefer to focus on whether it be, origin, history, or structure.
It is if you are passionate about it, but if you're not, the demand is not very high for careers in photography, so it is probably not the best choice for you.
