basically the physical parts of a computer system are all components you see in your system. All the tangible parts including the monitor, system unit, AVR, keyboard, mouse and even all the internal and electronic components inside the system unit. those are the microprocessor, the expansion slots and cards, the memory and all the heat dissipators.

The CD rom, the floppy, mouse, printer, keyboard, monitor, and system unit. CD-ROM

These are the silvery plastic disks that look just like music CD's. Application software (programs) usually come written on these, and special kinds of CD-ROM's can be used to store large amounts of data. Floppy Disk

This is a somewhat floppy coated disk housed inside a not-floppy plastic case about the size of a square beverage coaster. The floppy, once inserted into the appropriate slot in the system unit, is used to store files. Once the files have been written, the floppy can be removed for use on another computer or for safe keeping as a backup or data archive. Keyboard

This is organized like a regular typewriter keyboard and has some extra keys for special functions. Attaches to the system unit with a cord. Monitor (or display)

The part of the computer that looks like a small TV and shows you what is going on. Usually has 2 cords: one for power and the other for connecting to the system unit. Mouse

This device is about the size of a pack of cigarettes and allows the computer user to select from options displayed on the screen. By sliding the mouse around on a flat surface (usually a thin foam pad) the user moves a pointer on the screen. When the tip of the pointer is positioned over the desired item, the user clicks the mouse (a single or double click) to select the item. A single cord connects the mouse to the system unit. System Unit (sometimes referred to as CPU)

The part of the computer that is box-like, usually the size of a medium to large briefcase with slots for disks and connectors on the back. Inside this box are the microprocessor, disk drives and other elements that work together to do the actual computing. Printer a peripheral which produces a hard copy of documents stored in electronic form, usually on physical print media such as paper or transparencies.

What is computer shutdown?

a computer is to remove power from a computer's main components in a controlled way. After a computer is shut down, main components such as CPUs, RAM modules and hard disk drives are powered down, although some internal components, such as an internal clock, may retain power.

What provides power to the internal components of the computer?

In the case of a desktop computer a power supply that in turn plugs into a household outlet provides power to the internal components of the computer. In the case of a laptop or tablet a battery provides power.

What does a fans do into a computer?

Increases air flow which keeps internal components from overheating.

Why should a technician avoid using magnetized tools when repairing a computer?

They can induce current which can damage internal computer components.

Will upgrading my computer involve dismantling; disconnecting some of the internal components and connecting new ones again, requiring an expert to do the jobs or I can do it myself?

You can probably do it yourself, but you will have to muddle around with internal components.

Does a computer in a vacuum heat up?

A monitor is not normally considered hardware, the internal components of a computer are considered hardware.

How do components get power?

A computer's power supply unit provides all needed voltages for the components of a computer that are internal. Externals either draw power from the USB bus (which in turn gets it's power from the aforementioned PSU or a Hub with a power supply) OR have their own internal power supply with a cable.

Can a computer operate without a fan?

Technically yes, but not for very long, as the hardware components, most notably the processor, generate alot of heat inside the computer. If the internal heat of the computer gets too hot, it can actually MELT some of the hardware components, damaging the computer.
