If anyone drills in the arctic, it will damage the nesting grounds of millions of migratory birds and the home range of other animals that live there. It will damage the ecosystem and kill many of the animals. I do NOT think ANYONE should drill in the arctic.

Don't know what the above answer is on about. Primarily the problems with drilling in the arctic is dealing with the enviroment, getting equipment and people to work efficiently in sub-zero temperatures, the terrain is often difficult to access and the ground is permafrost. But none of this is to serious an obstacle that cannot be over come.

If your talking about oil drilling, as far as I understand it, almost all new oil finds are being made off-shore with there being a big push for deep water drilling at the moment.
