What are the Procedure for forming an international association?

Answer:

I am setting up a national association and I think to structure an association on an even broader scale may have some similarities. Here's what I think you need:

1. Planning meetings are required and they must be documented

2.The purpose of the association must be clearly delineated and a mission statement must be generated.

2. A board of directors or sponsors must be set up to oversee and support the org

3. There must be an executive director or group of directors, and other officers to handle the day to day matters

4. Headquarters for the association will be one main country in which most of the structuring documents will be submitted to that local and/or state and/or federal government and the taxing authorities for approvals to bring the association into existence.

5. There must be representatives and addresses in key countries of your choosing and structuring approvals must be sought from the authorities in each of these countries in order for the local chapter to brought into existence.

Your very first step- do a thorough search of the international association database to make certain an association exactly like yours and/or one with the desired name for your association does not already exist.

I hope this is a start. Good luck!
