What are the Pros and cons of online education?

[Edit]
An online education may provide certain individuals, such as parents or individuals with a busy work life, an opportunity to continue their education that would otherwise have been non-existant. In addition, some people may find it to be an easier or preferable way to study as a result of low confident or aggrophobia.

The major disadvantage of this method of education is that you don't experience an important social learning process that is present in other forms of education. This may not be relevant to everyone, but some people can learn valauble teamwork skills within an educational environment

By pursuing online education, you may limit the degree of contact that you have with a tutor. This said, certain courses, such as those available from the Open University (in the U.K) offer an excellent degree of tutor-pupil interaction.
