What are the State law enforcement agencies?

Answer:

Most states have a state police force of some type. They may be called - the State Police - the Highway Patrol - State Troopers - etc. Some states have specialized law enforcement bodies (i.e.- Texas has the Rangers - South Carolina has SLED [SC Law Enforcement Division] - etc.) In addition, most (all?) states have Fish and Game Wardens. Any agency which has the authority to enforce laws statewide wherever they are in the state is considered a state law enforcement agency.
