If you mean where the Sumerians lived, then they lived in the Fertile Crescent. That was the river valley of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Just in case you don't have a map at hand, the Fertile Crescent is and was located in the Middle East.

∙ 13y agoWe have not unveiled much of what the Sumerians did with geography. We do understand their civilization locales and even some of the technological accomplishments (irrigation, the Ziggurat of Ur, etc) which they had achieved. However, records do not reflect any geographical undertakings by which they may have learned, lived, or etc.

∙ 14y agoThe Tigris and Euphrates rivers supplied most of the Sumerians water for farming. Most of the Sumerian city states had a river nearby. This would help protect from invaders (a little bit).
