Like any organism, crocodiles have far too many adaptations to mention(even the ability to breathe is an adaptation). Some special adaptations include a broad, powerful tail for swimming, a good ability to hold their breath while underwater, and one of the strongest bite forces of any living animal. They are capable of slowing down their metabolisms dramatically when food is scarce, and can survive for months without food if necessary.
