A disadvantage I would think of would be the lack of meeting and seeing the person face to face.

Sometimes it is harder to convey a meaning of a topic with typed words, and is easier in person.

An Advantage, would be .. that it saves people having to travel to get to the meetings, and saves them being late ...

if you think that some people may have to come from England to Scott-land for the meeting and that's going to take a while and they may be late, but if they were online then that would save people traveling and save them being late, because they would get to somewhere local to do the video chat.
