A woman's body is not fully mature until her mid 20's, so planning to avoid pregnancy at least until then is a good health choice for her. Pregnancy puts a lot of physical demands on a body, and changes it in profound ways. A body should be fully developed before attempting such a challenge, or you risk developmental deficiencies in both mother and baby.
