1. It may not fulfill all the needs of the firm.
2. Modifications cannot be made at a later date
3. It will require cost of hiring computer literate staff or re-training of the old staff.
4. Expensive hardware is needed.
5. A lot of time is wasted in going to the market and finding the software.
6. The software can not be modified and debugged if problems or errors arise in the future.

∙ 12y agoOne advantage is cost. Purchasing a software suite is usually less expensive than purchasing the applications separately. Another advantage is that because all the applications are produced by the same software publisher, they tend to use similar interfaces, and the data are more easily transported from one application to another. The disadvantage of the suite approach is that you may purchase software that you will not use.
