Open Source, not all unixes are Open Source, it's constantly being updated, some Unixes have stopped any and all support, also Linux supports a lot more hardware than any of the Unixes. Support - there are a lot more users and programmers out there for Linux and therefore more support. Another positive for Linux is cost, some Unixes have very high licensing fees.
