What are the advantages of paper chromatography over thin layer chromatography?

It's less expensive to perform, and you can do "two way" chromatography by running a chromatograph in one solvent, letting the paper dry, turning it 90 degrees and running a second chromatograph in a different solvent.

Thin layer chromatography is faster and more accurate, so it's more popular now.
