Good things about Africa

The African Union provides a international forum for African debate and discussion of many issues! The AU overseas peacekeeping operations to the African development fund as well as discussing the best international policy solutions to the AIDS epidemic.

The AU also promotes a sense of African Community and Pan-Africanism - raising social aspiration and confidence in the African identity after centuries of abuse by other cultures.

most parts of Africa are poor but some parts of Africa have a lot of money.

Most people, when they think of Africa they think of poor people with no money, but not all of Africa is like that.

A good friend of mine who comes from a part of Africa says that he has a wealthy family there.

they became rich because of their currency, Money in England is worth a lot more over Africa so im guessing my friends parents are from England and lived in Africa and became rich that way.

But ONLY some people in Africa are rich, not everyone.

Globalisation is a tricky issue that can be misinterpreted. The integration of nations is an ongoing issue of this century. Since the issue is a matter of compromise some sections can stand unsatisfied. LEDCs see globalisation as a northern formulation to attempt to check the mounting progress of the south. However, in Africa some benefits have been noted. Among these benefits is the issue of debt cancellation which has enabled countries like Zambia, Mozambique and Ghana to divert the paybacks to other economic areas like farming.- Simbarashe Gumbo, [2011].
