As the executive comes from within the legislature, its usually easier to pass legislation, as the government holds the numbers in the lower house anyway, as opposed to a (for example) American style system where the congress can be politically opposite to the government.

An interesting note is that since WW2, of all the third world countries that dmeocratized through a parliamentary system, 2/3rds remain today. No presidential system made it without coups or other constitutional issues arising, so it would appear a advantage of the Westminster system is that it dosent place too much power with one person...
