first off it is a matter of opiinion, i have a macbook and an xp. i find that mac makes things far more simple then windows. they dont get many if any viruses. macs are made for multimedia, like music recording/listening and watching movies/editing movies.on the downside not very many games are mac compatable. In the end it is all personal preference.
