The benefits of incorporating marketing into the sales function of an organization are the ability to promote the product being sold in a fashion that is appealing to consumers. Marketing would use strategies to appeal to the masses, showing consumers "what in it for them." I read somewhere, "Any fool can make soap, and it takes a clever man to sell it." While it is great to come up with great ideas for a product, you have to know how to be able to get people to buy what you are selling. So do I think that marketing should be included as part of the sales organization with a company, I would say absolutely. I think that marketing is vital to a company's success.
