[Edit] |
[Edit]
When used responsibly, credit cards offer many benefits to their holders:
- When paid in time and in full every month, they offer an interest-free credit for up to 30 days for purchases.
- A monthly statement can be a useful tool for budgeting purposes as it shows all the expenses in one concise report.
- Credit cards eliminate the need to carry large amount of cash when shopping for more expensive items.
- Credit card companies usually provide protection against dishonest vendors accepting and intermediating disputes.
- When successfully managing so-called teaser rates and balance transfers among multiple credit cards, the holder can secure for himself/herself average credit rates well below prevailing market rates.
- They afford the user a credit, alas often at a very high rate, when often no other credit is available.
- Some credit cards provide life insurance polices.
- Credit cards allow the holders to shop online for bargains as compared to local retailers.
