Exercises to lose stomach fat
Contrary to popular belief, doing specific exercises do not target the fat around a specific area. For best results, you must do cardio exercise, weight training, and change your eating habits, to lose stomach fat. Refined (processed carbohydrates) are a major cause of insulin resistance and fat accumulating around the stomach and abdomen area.
- Additional exercises to might care to try are crunches - laying on your back and knees raised in the air. Also, try about 100 sit-ups a day and you must eliminate or cut right down on refined (processed) carbohydrates and fatty foods.
- You might also try calisthenics or Pilates (100's, criss cross....) and drink lots of water as it flushes away toxins.
- While your just sitting around, what ever you are doing try to constantly keep your abs sucked in and clenched. They may start to burn but that IS a good sign. Keep good posture while doing this and it will help shrink and flatten you stomach.
- I am a gymnast, I have very good abs, and contrary to popular belief I do not believe sit-ups work very well. They are probably the easiest of ab exercises but there are reasons for that. Do hollow holds, v-ups, lemon squeezers, even leg lifts (ON A BAR, NOT ON THE GROUND) work well.
- You cannot spot reduce. For the best results, you must do cardio/aerobic exercise, weight training and eliminate refined (processed) carbohydrates.
