Only Apple Apps such as 'iMovie' will really be 'iPad 2' Only Apps. All iPad 1 Apps will work on the iPad 2.
Try looking in the App Store. Look in the front page and look up Top Free Apps.
The Leapfrog LeapPad 2 was designed to be durable enough for toddlers, and is initially less expensive than the iPad. The apps for the iPad are typically free or up to $5, while the LeapPad 2's apps are $25 and up. The iPad has more capabilities and functions (audio/video streaming, camera, much more apps, etc.), which may be appealing for those parents who do not already have an iPad. But for parents with an iPad, the LeapPad 2 is great for kids.
Well I think you should know that not EVERYONE has all the ipad 2 apps, everyone all has different kinds of likes and dislikes... :)
Probably the iPad 2 because the App Store is the largest app store available to tablets. They will also probably run better on it too
Apps are different games created by different companies. Some apps cost more than others. The more advanced version of the app you want, the more it will cost. I would recommend downloading the lite (free) version before you buy the full version (that costs $$$).

if you two want to different apps at the same time, get 2 touches. If you want one big screen or want to run apps that only work on the ipad, then get one iPad.
