Barriers to communication
Languages:
Not speaking English: will need someone to translate
Jargon and technical language.: the service provider should be aware of that
Environment:
Light: making sure that light isn't too much or less than usual
Noise: direct people to be quit and not make noise
Heat: organise having air conditioners or heaters as needed
Furniture. Organise well and make sure it make people comfortable
Psychological:
Scared: show that everything is ok
Embarrassed: Makes the person panic and not able to talk.
Shy: Makes the person afraid, panic and not able to talk.
Visual disability:
Full sight loss: won't be able to understand unviable communication.
Partial sight loss: won't be able to understand unviable communication.
Hearing disability:
Full hearing loss: won't be able to understand if the other person doesn't know sign language.
Partial hearing loss: won't be able to understand properly if the other person doesn't know sign language.
Intellectual disability:
Severe learning disability: won't be able to understand, needs a special needs teacher to explain.
Minor learning disability: will take time to get the idea.
Physical disability:
Severe physical disability: will need help and special physical services.
Minor physical disability: will need some help and special physical services.
