I think it is a real challenge to maintain any sense of order in the midst of chaos. At different times, there is more physical care than mental and it keeps shifting back and forth. You are trying to civilize a young person to be a great ordinary person who loves people back, has ethics and who can fly on his own in adulthood. At the same time, you are working, maintaining a home and finances and your close relationships. There is nothing in the world as satisfying, though.
