The sow can get in a real bad mood instantly feel a threat to her cubs and attack a human. Most of the time the cubs remain hidden and we don't even see them, just the sow closing in.

Before anyone ventures into the wild, even in field or bush you've owned or used for years, always know what potential dangers there may be and carry safety devices such as bear spray.
