If you took your pills at the same time everyday then you are probably not pregnant. When you are on the birth control pill you do not get a period. Its called a withdrawal bleed. It is caused when you take the inactive pills because your body is going through withdrawal from the hormone. If you are concerned about pregnancy take a test. Yes, you can skip a period because your body did not have enough time to have a withdrawal bleed. Getting a period on the pill does not mean your not pregnant. Just so you know.
You pills shouldn't make you skip periods. But if you are taking them correctly, your chances or getting pregnant are about 2-5 percent.
Many women, when first starting the pill, miss their first period and it's not necessarily a sign of pregnancy. Also, it is not uncommon. When it happened to me I asked my sister because she is a registered nurse and she said it's a common side effect when you first start the pill but if it happens again the following month you should notify your doctor as a change in pill might be in order.
