That would be impossible. As soon as Sperm is exposed to air, it dies. Same goes for having sex in a pool. The sperm will hit the water then die. The chances are 1 in a billion.

How do insulating materials save energy?

Insulating materials prevent excess heat and water and energy from seeping out. When these forms of energy escape, they are wasted. By preventing them from escaping, less has to be used as none is leaving, so you ultimately have to use less of a resource and can thus conserve it.

Where does radiation occur in a home?

Radon gas is a common form of radioactive material that occurrs in a home. It generally enters the home by seeping up from the ground through the basement or crawlspace. You can buy a test kit from a hardware store if you want to find out whether it is a problem in your home.

How does gravity break down a rock?

Gravity is not a major influence in the decomposition of a rock, unless the rock falls off of a cliff. The main process consists of water seeping into tiny cracks in the rock, then expanding as it freezes. Well, if you want to stretch it, I guess you could give gravity the credit for making the water seep into the cracks.

How does a radiator transfer heat to the air?

The radiator is filled with hot water from another location. The water then heats up the metal that the radiator is made of, and the metal heats up the air in the room. The most efficient location for a radiator is underneath a window. This is because the air near the window(and the air leaking in from the window) will be cold, and will therefore drop down to the floor because cold air is heavier than warm air. On its way towards the floor the cold air will pass near the radiator where it will be warmed up, and afterwards rise towards the ceiling of the room. When the air eventually cools down it will drop to the floor, where it eventually will be heated again by the radiator. The air will continue to rotate in this manner. In older buildings the radiator was placed near the center of the apartment, as this was where fireplaces were previously situated. However this proved ineffective as the cold air seeping in from the windows would have to cross the floor to reach the radiator and be heated, resulting in a very cold floor.

The Benefits of Double Pane Windows?

Old, outdated windows are one of the biggest energy drains on many houses. Replacing your windows for new ones with double pane, energy efficient glass will be a large investment, but it may pay for itself over time in decreased energy bills. Plus, your house will feel more comfortable no matter what the weather is like. Double pane windows insulate a house much better than older, single pane windows. As you'd expect, double pane windows have two sheets of glass sandwiched together in a window frame. They're sometimes referred to as double glazed windows. The air trapped between the panes acts as a buffer, keeping cold or heat from seeping into your home. In some cases, a gas such as argon is sealed between the panes to increase the insulation. These windows are factory sealed in a vinyl or aluminum frame to keep the gas between the panes from escaping. This sealing is also important so condensation doesn't develop between the panes. Some companies offer triple pane window glass, but unless you live in an extremely cold climate, double pane is almost always sufficient. You can also increase your home's energy efficiency by using low e glass in your windows. That stands for low emissivity glass, and it means the glass has a coating on it which reduces the transfer of heat through the glass. Summer heat will reflect back off your windows rather than passing through into your home. In the winter, the heat you've paid for will stay inside rather than getting lost. Some window glass has a UV, or ultra violet, coating as well. This keeps harmful UV rays from passing through your windows into your house. This coating can help protect your curtains, carpets and furniture from sun damage. In addition to saving you money on your energy bills, double pane windows help insulate your home from noise, giving you more privacy. They're also safer from burglars. You'll feel more comfortable in many ways with double pane glass in your windows. At some times, the government offers rebate programs to help with the cost of installing energy efficient windows. You can go to www.energysavers.gov to see what programs are being offered and to see if you qualify.
