What you are requesting here is a stereotype or archetype. The problem is that while there might be some truth to all stereo and archetypes, they are all wrong, incorrect, misguided, and biased.

Some characteristics of a bully (may) include:

  • Is constantly teasing, taunting, and putting down others
  • Occasionally targets one or a small number of others
  • Makes snide, sarcastic, or sardonic comments aimed at one, more, or all others
  • Is perceived as having high self-esteem
  • Is perceived as having low self-esteem
  • Appears to be popular
  • Appears to be unpopular
  • Appears to be unremarkable or ignored but not excluded by others
  • Is befriended by others for their protection
  • Does not have empathy
  • Has high empathy, except for his target(s)
  • Does not feel compassion easily
  • Experiences a high degree of compassion for some, but not others
  • Has an angry demeanor
  • Has a calm demeanor
  • High socio-economic status
  • Low socio-economic status
  • Ambiguous socio-economic status
  • May be a witness to or victim of physical, emotional, psychological, and/or sexual violence in the home.
  • Has no personal experience with of physical, emotional, psychological, and/or sexual violence in the home.
  • Comes from a broken home.
  • Comes from a mixed home.
  • Raised in a typical nuclear family.
  • May be physically strong. (Typically a physical bully)
  • May be physically weak. (Typically the intellectual bully)
  • May have difficulty following rules.
  • May be a stickler for rules and feels empowered to enforce them

As can be seen by the list above, compiled from several different sources, bullies defy description. This is often the problem you will encounter when you try to put a person in a box, that is apply a label to them that is intended to describe that person part and parcel. Humans are complex critters. We do things for an infinite number of reasons, and we share a lot of common behavioral patterns. The problem is that a huge number of the motivating factors behind our behaviors, while similar are different. We're not programed off the same software, and our hardware, again while very similar, is different for every person. Psychology, the branch of science that addresses this, is not a hard science like math or chemistry with infinitely repeatable scenarios that produce exactly the same product. Psychology is a wet science, dealing with marshmallowy mushy software, and drippy wet hardware. You can subject two different subjects to exactly the same stimuli and get dramatically different results, or eerily similar results with no way to understand exactly why.

Who is the bully in John Walsh poem the bully asleep?

The bully is all the children in the poem. The child asleep features some characteristics of a bully from having a poor home life, poor levels of achievement in school and also being bullied himself. This may lead us to believe he is a bully and has at some point bullied the children now taking the oppurtunity to get revenge on him. They are also bullies as they are displaying the behavioral characteristics of bullies.

Does your physical characteristics deal with being bullied?

Yes, it will.Being short, small, and/or skinny will make the bully think you are weak and cause you to be bullied. Since the victim is small, they can't defend them self much.Having glasses will be considered a nerd and bullies love to bully them. If the bully breaks the glasses, the victim wouldn't be able to see properly and it makes him/her defenseless.Being a girl will be bullied sometimes. If the girl revealed to be strong, brave, or good at defending, the bully wouldn't want to bully her.If you look ugly/strange to the bully, the bully will bully you. Very few people know why.Having visible bandages or injuries can cause bullies to bully him/her since they look(and probably are) weak and defenseless.
