They would have developed social services such as hospitals, schools etc. The majority of people in the country would work in tertiary activities (services). They are often referred to as the rich countries of the north. Examples of these developed countries include USA and Ireland.

There are so many characteristics of a developed country. Some of them include proper infrastructure, low population growth, higher percentage of the population is educated and so much more.
