A true friend would never tell you what you wouldn't want to hear but they would tell you if its really serious like if someone threatened you but they would also not ask you to do stuf that's wrong

1. They don't exclude you
2. They don't want you all to themselves.
- 3. They get you good gifts and always support you.
- 4. They will always lend a helping hand.

∙ 14y agoThere is no definition of a true friend. There are no specific qualities of a true friend. Everyone is different, therefore expectations vary. You just need to have patience and wait for someone with the same expectations and qualities they are looking for in a friend as you.
A true friend would tell you the truth. If you looked or was being ridiculous they would tell you instead of you making a fool of yourself. A true friend would stay your friend though good times and bad times.
Not considering temperaments,i can say that a TRUE friend is one who is ready to do just anything to make one happy.He understands his friend and knows how to deal with him.He's always ready to sacrifice as The Bible explains in 1John 1.

- Honesty (never lying to each other no matter if you feel it may hurt your friend at the time.) Example: You friend may start doing drugs (not accusing them) and you know it is not a good thing they are doing. To be a good friend you should let them know you disapprove even if it means you risk losing your friendship.
- Loyalty (remaining loyal to a best friend when others may be against them.)
- Being able to tell each other your innermost secrets without fear they will repeat the secrets to other people they know.
- Being there for each other for a shoulder to cry on.
