There are common questions used at interview and the reason for this is that aside from specific skills many jobs require the same competencies or behaviours. So prior to going to any interview the start point is to work out what the employer will want from someone applying for the job for which you are being interviewed.

So in the service industry employers will be looking for things like;

communication skills

a team player

good interpersonal skills (customer service)

energy

motivation

Based on this requirements some common questions might be

What makes you interested in this job?

Can you give an example of where you had to work as part of a team to achieve a task?

Can you give an example of where you have had to deal with a difficult customer?
