The conditions or stipulations of parole vary from state to state. There are several stipulations that remain the same or similar in all states:
- Do not use illicit drugs or substances.
- Do not use alcohol.
- Do not patron establishments whose sole or primary purpose is the serving of alcohol.
- Do not have contact with police officers.
- Do not have contact with those convicted of a felony.
- Subject to periodic urine screenings.
There are hundreds of other stipulations that are placed on parolees that vary by state and class of crime.
