The Tinikling is the National Dance of the Philippines. It is also the most famous of all Filipino folk dances. There are many different ways of doing the dance and each dance troupe can adapt the steps to meet their skill level.
The basic concept of the dance is to hop between bamboo poles that are being clapped together in rhythm to the music. The trick is to keep from getting your feet caught between the poles.
