Mars is dangerous. It is because of the chemicals and methane in the air, causing it to be dangerously hot at times. Chemicals and gases in the air cause a sort of "blanket" around the surface, sort of like the greenhouse effect on Earth.

1. Aliens we meet may try and invade the Earth. 2. We may pick up contagious diseases from other planets 3. It is a waste of money 4. Should we not concentrate on the problems on the Earth right now? 5. It is very risky - animals and humans are in danger of dying if something goes wrong.

There are probably a few, but I still want ot be the first man to mars. Plane and simple, make me the first one, I've lived alone so long I could handle the long ride alone. Save the space for food and let me go!!!. Well, radiation is a common occurance in space, temperature also. Then there are the mini meteorites, and the larger ones. The travel time, at our capacity of speed and space knowledge would take about 6-9 months of travel to get there, and then the same time back. Until we start using our heads and thinking outside the box, we'll never get there anytime soon. We have the techno brain power to do this, safely, and return. I volunteer for this mission, and can help tell them how to do it the right way.

There have to be at least four I can think of at the moment such as, No oxygen therefore no air to breathe, no food or water (starve to death),the surface is to cold humans would need heaps of protection, not to mention all the metals and gases that could later give a human being cancer or other diseases. So as you can see I would not reccommend going to Mars!!!

Some of the dangers that Mars can expose people to are space radiation, microgravity, and other psychological implications. Scientists are continuously finding ways on how to lessen the impact of these factors on people.

We humans evolved here on Planet Earth; we are the way we are because we're HERE. Going out into space means that we'll have to take our environment with us.

That environment includes air (not too much, not too little, and with the right proportions of oxygen and other gasses), water, and food. There may be water ice in deep craters at the south pole of the Moon, but we're unlikely to find air or food there, so we'll need to take it with us. If the air leaks out, or we run out of oxygen, or if the carbon dioxide that we exhale builds up too much, or if we run out of food or water, we'll die.

Space travel itself isn't particularly dangerous, as long as we understand that we ourselves must maintain our Earthly environment wherever we go.

What is the first space shuttle that traveling to a new colony that has been started on mars?

There is no colony on Mars and no space shuttle will be traveling to Mars. There is a robotic probe on Mars. No human being has ever been there. At the present time (2013) it is impossible to say if any human being ever will go there. Certainly some people would liketo go there. But no trips are scheduled.

When are we traveling on mars?

I assume it will not happen in the nearest future. Traveling to Mars is a pretty complicated stuff. At that moment we can only sent robotic expedition to this planet which is very costly too. Sending people to Mars is very dangerous stuff to do because off high level of radiation. Also humanity didn`t create yet the space craft that can bring people to the red planet.
