Man's rulerships are plagued with problems. War, crime, violence, economic hardships, are prevalent, along with other troubles that man has neither the power, nor the wisdom to fix. The Bible says at Ecclesiastes 8:9 that," ...man has dominated man to his injury." Jeremiah 10:23 says that," I well know, O Jehovah, that to earthling man his way does not belong. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step." Man-rule is limited by his imperfection and lack of perfect wisdom. But God's kingdom has no such limitations.

But what IS God's Kingdom? Some have said that it is a condition of the heart. They may arrive at that conclusion when they read in Luke 17:21 Jesus' words," Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you." (King James Version) We have to look at a couple of things to understand what Jesus meant by the phrase. First, who he was talking to . He was saying that to the Jewish religious leaders, who he had just called "hypocrites" and "off-spring of vipers." (Matthew 23:33)So he could not have meant that the Kingdom was in their hearts. The Greek word "entose," is what Jesus used here which literally means "among," or "in the midst of." What Jesus must have meant was that since he, as king-designate of God's Kingdom was right there in front of them, that Kingdom as represented by Christ was in their midst. Thus The Emphatic Diaglott reads: Gods royal majesty is among you." Further evidence that God's Kingdom is real government, and not a condition of the heart, is seen the positive action that it will take very soon. The Bible book of Daniel was discussing man's kingdoms that are in opposition to God's Kingdom, and prophesied that God's Kingdom would take decisive action against those other kingdoms, where it says,"And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite."(Daniel 2:44) In fact, the very word "kingdom" means "king's dominion." A real government, a royal realm, over which a king presides.

So, God's Kingdom is not just a mere condition of the heart, as some say. In fact, it is a real government, with Christ as it's king. Jesus taught us to pray for that kingdom at Matthew 6:9,10 where we find the Lord's prayer(or "Our Father Prayer"). He said," Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth." So God has a will for the Earth as well as heaven. This will be done through his kingdom where the problems that plague mankind will be eliminated. (Revelation 21:4, Psalms 37:10,11,29)

When? The Bible answers very soon. According to Bible prophesy when we see things such as worldwide warfare, food shortages, earthquakes, disease, crime, lack of love between people, children disobedient to parents, dishonesty, people who put on a false pretence of Godliness, and many more problems (Matthew Chapter 24:3-13, 2 Timothy 3:1-5), Jesus said, "But as these things start to occur, raise yourselves erect and lift YOUR heads up, because YOUR deliverance is getting near."

Man-rule is powerless to fix the problems of mankind, but God's Kingdom, with Jesus as king of that kingdom can, and will, fix the problems that mankind has.

The ruler of God's Kingdom is Jesus Christ. While mans rulers are fallible, and are often corrupt, Jesus is perfect, infallible, and he is perfectly loyal in doing his father's will. His justice is perfect, and he cannot be bribed or influenced to do what is wrong. Since he is now a mighty, ruling, immortal spirit person in the heavens, he also cannot be killed or harmed by his enemies. With man-rule, even when a good ruler comes along, he will at some point die or be ousted from office, and someone else who may not be as good will take over. Jesus cannot be removed from his throne.

Man-rule is earthly. It is from an earthly source. It's offices and buildings and staff are here on earth. Thus, they are imperfect, subject to time and decay. God's Kingdom is heavenly. It is based in heaven. It's adminstration is perfect. It is not subject to the things that are earthly. It will last forever.

Another Opinion:

The Kingdom of man is reality.

Kingdom of God is invented by those who cannot accept the reality of the present. In other words an ideation, a product of wishful thinking, the desire for perpetuity. No evidence...
