Blogs and Wikis differ in the sense that a blog is generally one person's point of view/opinion on a topic. The blogger's opinion may be supported by verifiable evidence, and their position fully vetted; however, as a general rule of thumb, it is still only the blog author's position on the topic. As most blogs support comments/feedback, secondary input may exist to further support or counter the author's position, but only a secondary input, and only insofar as the author wishes to collect and publish the individual comments.

A wiki differs in that primary content is provided against a topic by as many individuals as care to contribute. While the contributors' opinions/points of view on the topic may differ, as contribution is made over time, from a number of sources, a normalization to the "best possible data/answer" occurs naturally. Typically, a Wiki site is impartially managed/moderated to protect against the contribution of blatantly bad data. In summary, consider for the sake of argument that blogs are a single-author opinion-based, and that wikis are a multi-contributor fact-based medium.
