I'm only in year8 but here goes, if anyone else disagrees with my answer please don't hesitate to correct me. thanks

observation - using your five senses to record what you see e.g. you see a person making a call. that is an observation because you SEE the person.

inference - the person is calling their friend. BASED on your observation you try to explain what is happening. did they tell you they were calling their friend? NO, so you are basing this on your observation.

prediction - (this one i have trouble with so i won't answer this as i don't want to give any wrong info. so I'm sorry but that's all i know)

Thanks guys and if I'm wrong don't hestate to correct me. bye guys
