What are the different between western and Asian dance?

Well I'm Asian and my name is Rosie Nguyen. I'm a 6th grader and the difference between western dance is western is.............STUPID and Asian dance is um cool they dance like Americans i guess? More questions about Asians ask and ill answer. thanks :D
Western and Eastern dance, no matter what the style, have each developed in their countries on their own- neither really influencing each other. Each dance style developed from its own techniques and influences within its own country for example- Asian dance styles often take strong martial arts characteristics and meditative stances. Although at a glance they may look similar, particularly in modern dance, both areas of the world have vast differences in initiation of movement and ideas around how to move.
