Mutualism is the biological interaction between two species of organisms, in which both parties benefit. It can be as simple as bees getting nectar from flowers while also pollinating them, or more specific such as the relationship between the Egyptian plover birds and the Nile crocodiles (the birds eats off the decayed meat on the crocodile's teeth, and in so doing, provide much needed dentistry).
Some other examples:
Clownfish and sea anemones
Some species of ants and acacia
Honey guide (a species of birds) and honey badger
The mosquito and various animals, which is an example of commenalism. The mosquito sucks blood from the animals and thrives, the animals usually aren't affected. An example of parasitism in freshwater is leeches and other animals. The leech attaches itself to another animal and sucks blood from it. The leech thrives and the animal loses blood, making it weaker.
I don't know any examples of mutualism.
An example of commensalisim is a shark and a remora relationship. The shark is unaffected, however the remora gets the left over foof from the sharks dinner. Am example of parasitism a tick on a dog. The tick benefits from the blood of the dog, however the dog can get sick from the tick, in other words it is harmed by the parasite. An example of mutualism is a human being and the good bacteria that lives in your body. The human benefits by getting the minerals and vitamins produced by the bacteria, say in the intestines, and the bacteria gets a non ending food supply.
Parasitism example would be a dog with a tick, or a person with tapeworm. Mutualsim would be the clownfish and the sea anenome. Comensalism would be a bird and a hippo(no benefits).
what are the example of commensalism
Mutualism, Commensalism, and Parasitism.
Look it up on a web site, but if you really want to know, The King Cobra has no mutualism, or paratism, and it only has parasitism.
commensalism
Mutualism
A prickly pear is a cactus. There is no commensalism or mutualism.
mutualism ............ No, its commensalism
Mutualism and commensalism are both types of symbiotic relationships. Mutualism is where both organisms benefit, while commensalism is where one organism benefits while the other organism is not affected.
Mutualism, commensalism, and parasitism are the three types of symbiotic relationships.
commensalism
Nope, mutualism is where both organisms benefit. This is an example of commensalism, because the millipede benefits, and the bird is neither benefits or is harmed.
The Difference between mutualism And commensalism is that mutualism is a relationship between two species in which both species benefit and Commensalism is a relationship between two organisms in which one organism benefits and the other is unnaffected.
