There are many different types of graph. Some of the most commonly known are:

Line Graph: used to display information over time
Bar Graph: used to compare sets of data
Pictograph: uses pictures to display information
Double Bar Graph: like a bar, but compares two sets of data in different forms.

There are also continuous graphs, which are graphs made of a continuous curving line. Then there are also discrete graphs, which are made of single points on a graph connected.
