A gaylord, bulk bin, or corrugated pallet box is a pallet size box usually made of triple wall corrugated fiberboard. These are used for bulk packaging and were initially produced by Gaylord Container Company of Gaylord, Michigan. A gaylord box is often 48" x 40" x 36" (approx. 120 cm x 100 cm x 90 cm) and fits neatly on a standard shipping pallet.
Electronics recycling companies use Gaylord boxes to transport Universal Waste.
Plastics companies use Gaylord boxes to transport granulated plastic particles for moulding.
Gaylord boxes are commonly used for collecting paper to be recycled. Each box can hold around 1,500 pounds of paper.
Many stores use Gaylord boxes to transport clearance items to their outlet stores, such as Goodwill Industries.
