There are many advantages to immigration. How would you like it if you were told that you couldn't live in a country and you have no were else to go? Immagrantes work for less money than Americans. Everyone has to have a place to live no matter who you are. People may just want a fresh start, why deny them of that? Some disadvantages to this is to many of them may cause population growth. The economy may suffer. They are never appreiciative of it.Advantages- They take any jobs which the other citizens do not want to do or have.

Disadvantages - Buisness people are hireing them just because they do not need to give them any health insurance etc.

Whenever you have immigrants coming to the US, there is always a cultural interaction; new ideas, languages, and ways of looking at things help the country. From an economic stand point, many immigrants come here looking for work. If they do it better for a cheaper rate, it increases the productivity of the nation, which is a good thing. Unfortunately, the people who lose their job have to look for other ones, which is difficult. Still, progress is ultimately a good thing, so if immigrants can do a better job, they should be able to do it, and the replaced person should find something they else they can do. The US used to require about 90% of people to farm to provide food for the country. Now it's only about 2%, but that doesn't mean we are worse of because 88% of the country lost their jobs; they found other services they could provide, and we are better off for it (we now have things like computers, cars, airplanes, and movies). In the same way, immigrants help our country as a whole, by letting us be more efficient at producing things of value.

Legal Immigration has no disadvantages. The process is long, but rewarding. The advantages of the legal status are many including protection under the laws of the United States, not having to worry about deportation, and having the ability to work towards becoming a naturalized citizen.

(in the US) the advantages are that you possess all the privileges of citizenship the same as a natural-born citizen EXCEPT - for the disadvantage - you can never become President of the US. The 'disadvantages' (if you choose to call them that) are that you also assume all the obligations of being a US citizen as well.
