Sodium is linked to Heart disease. 2) Soft water dissolves metals such as such as cadmium and lead from metal pipes. Lead is poisonous. Cadmium has been linked to hypertension (but it also dissolves copper which your body needs).

∙ 15y agoThe advantages of soft water are as follows: 1) It could potentially save you a fortune. 2) Water softening process reduces the build up of limescale in Plumbing and heating pipes, once again this saves maintanence and repairing bills! 3) soft water is clean water to drink and doesn't contain any ions such as sodium etc etc etc

∙ 10y agoThe main one is - salts deposits. Hard water contains dissolved calcium. This sticks to the pipes, and builds up over time. If left untreated, it can completely block a water pipe so that nothing flows through it.
