Now there are a couple of ways a person can answer this. In the New Testament Jesus refers to the Old Testament (O.T.) as "the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms" Luke 24:44
Today the O.T. is divided up into 5 main areas. There is the Pentateuch, historical books, Wisdom Literature and the major and minor prophets. In the following part of the answer I will be using the order that is in most English Bibles. 1. The Pentateuch also called the Torah (the law) consists of Genesis through Deuteronomy. 2. The historical book Joshua through Esther, 3. Wisdom literature consists of Job through Song of Solomon, 4. The major prophet are Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekel, and Daniel,5. The minor prophets consist of Hosea through Malachi.
Pentateuch, Historical books, wisdom literature, Prophetic books. -Danilo P. Labas III
There are more than five books in the old testament there are 39.
The first five: the books of Moses are called the Pentateuch.
Old Testament falls naturally into four divisions: Law, History, Poetry, and Prophecy. New Testament falls naturally into four divisions: Gospels, History, Letters, and Prophecy. Total divisions eight.
The Old Testament and the New Testament.
The Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament starts with Genesis and ends with Malachi. The New Testament starts with Matthew and ends with Revelation.
Most consider ther to be four divisions: 1 - the Gospels and Acts 2 - the Pauline Epistles 3 - the General Epistles 4 - Revelation (Prophecy)
* The Gospels* The Acts of the Apostles* The Letters* The book of Revelation
The holy book of Christianity is the Bible. It has two main divisions - the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament is basically the same as the Tanakh the religious book of Judaism
There are 66 books in the King James Bible and it is divided into to sections, The Old Testament and The New Testament.
The four categories of books found in the Old Testament are: the Torah (Pentateuch), Historical books, Wisdom literature, and Prophetic books.

Since the Old Testament was written as separate books over a period of centuries, no set of just four facts could confirm the reliability or truth of the the entire collection. Even if facts confirmed something about any one book, further facts would be needed to confirm the next book. So, no four facts confirm the entire Old Testament. It is easier to find four facts about the Old Testament that prove our usual understanding of the Old Testament to be unfounded.
I can think of two semi-obvious ways to make four divisions: The Historical books, the Poetical books, the Major prophets, and the Minor prophets OR The Pentateuch, the other Historical books, the Poetical books, and the Prophets. As may be obvious from those lists, it's rather more usual to make three divisions (history/poetry/prophecy) ... to make four, you've got to split one of the three.
They are Gospels, History, Letters and Prophecy.
