"Health, Safety, Environment, & Quality" (HSEQ) departments and those who work in HSEQ oversee the three areas (health, safety, and environment) which affect workers and contribute negatively to either workers or productivity, liability, etc. The HSEQ Department develops policies for each of the areas they control (health, safety, and environment), hold educational in-services (possibly with post-tests, depending on what workers are in the meetings), and act as a liaison between the HSEQ and the company's legal department if there are an "incidents". The HSEQ seeks worker education and cooperation to comply with local, State, and Federal laws.
