Glycerin increases the "strength" of the structure of the soapy water that forms the bubble's surface. That's why when we make up our own soap solution to blow bubbles, we include some glycerin. The makers of commercial bubble blowing soap do it, and so can we.

It is an emulsifier that helps separate oil and dirt from your skin.

Glycerin is a natural byproduct of the soap making process. It is a clear, sweet fluid that attracts moisture, making it soothing and hydrating to the skin.

Glycerin is a by product of making soap. If you make soap using the CP process (look up CP soap, or cold process soap on line to learn more) then you are already making glycerin soap.

If you want to add more glycerin to the soap you can. It can be purchased from supermarkets and added at trace (the time in the soap making when it is as thick as custard). But it's not necessary to do this.

Glycerin is removed from the soap making process by large manufacturers. Home made soap retains all the natural glycerin, which is one of the many reasons that home made soap is better.
