if your low in potassium, then that means that (some) of your arteries are clogged. you see... if you have at least a banana everyday, you clear 1 arterie from getting clogged. or anything else with poassium in it.

Low blood potassium, also called hypokalemia, can result from poor dietary intake, increased losses (diarrhea, vomiting, or losses through the kidneys), endocrine abnormalities (Conn's syndrome, Bartter or Gitelman syndromes), or from medications causing potassium to be lost or not absorbed.

Hypokalemia is frequently found in conjunction with hypomagnesemia (low magnesium), so if your doctor finds a low potassium level, make sure a magnesium level is checked as well.
