Edit--A lack of exercise leads to a breaking down of muscle, and an increase in body fat. Exercise also increases the density of bone, thus making them stronger.

In addition, exercise forces the heart and lungs to operate more efficiently. When these organs are in top form, they don't have to work as hard.

There are many risks that can be caused from not getting enough exercise. You could increase the risks of Diabetes, dying prematurely, developing high blood pressure, developing colon cancer, and a large number of others.
